Women's Leadership Institute Pre-Conference

The Women's Leadership Academy (WLA) provides professional development and networking opportunities for higher education professionals with a special focus on women in education. Space is Limited! If attendee registers for WLA along with the full summit, the WLA registration will be discounted to $400.

This comprehensive workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate and succeed in the hiring process within California Community Colleges. The day is structured into three insightful modules, each featuring expert panelists who will share proven strategies and best practices for career advancement.

Co-Conspirator Pre-Conference

The Co-conspirator Institute provides an intensive professional development opportunity for educators in PreK-12 and Higher Education who seek to be effective partners in the work to increase the success of Black male students. The Institute focuses on the development of educators who do not identify as Black or African American, but whose work impacts Black students. Participants will be provided with opportunities for personal introspection, professional skills building, networking, and strategic planning-all focused-on building capacity for serving as a co-conspirator in the work to address interpersonal and systemic barriers to success faced by Black male students.

Humanizing Math Experiences for Black Male Students Pre-Conference

Historically, in California Community College math courses, Black males have had dismal experiences resulting in low passing rates for transfer-level classes, avoidance of math classes altogether, and lack of esteem, confidence, and self-efficacy to pursue STEM-related disciplines and careers. Unfortunately, some faculty members have failed to inform these students that mathematics originated in Africa and how Black people have contributed to advancing math globally.

Forms of Payment
IMPORTANT: All payments must be received by January 20, 2025. Payment must be received prior to arrival to the summit and will NOT be accepted onsite (including PO, credit cards, or checks). You may pay by check or with credit card. As a reminder, your full payment is due within 30 days of registration or by January 20, 2025 (whichever comes first).
If payment is not received the registration is subject to cancellation.

Cancellation Policy
By completing the registration process, you are agreeing to pay the full summit registration fee. In the event that you need to cancel, your cancellation request will need to be submitted in writing to reg@execuconnect.org on or before January 6, 2025 and will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee per attendee. On or after January 6, 2025, all cancellations will incur the complete registration fee.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be offered on cancellations made on or after January 6, 2025. In the event a registrant does not show for the event and the full amount due has not been paid, the registrant/ institution will be billed and held responsible for full payment. Substitutions are welcome and may be made in writing up to 12:00 PM on Feb 20, 2025, without penalty.
